Horsham, PA (September 10, 2015) – Language Services Associates (LSA), a leading provider of interpretation, translation and localization solutions, is pleased to announce its sponsorship of Philadelphia’s xCultural Passport Week September 13 – 20, 2015. The event will highlight the city’s immigrant heritage and cultural diversity to promote understanding and strengthen connections between US-born citizens, immigrants, and persons of diverse backgrounds.

LSA has partnered with the City of Philadelphia since 2009 to support communication with government and city services and with Philadelphia’s Department of Public Health since 2004. LSA also partners with a number of hospitals, universities, law offices, and other entities in the city.

In addition to its sponsorship, LSA is lending its expertise in interpretation and translation services to a panel—Introduction to Language Access—on Monday, September 14 at 9 a.m. The panel will feature Sarahlyn Branson, Director of Client Services, and share with government, nonprofit, and community-based organizations how to communicate with Limited English Proficient (LEP) clientele in accordance with the city’s Executive Orders and directives.

Other events around the city will include a Japanese tea ceremony, cooking demonstrations, lectures, workshops, exhibits, soccer tournaments, and tours of Philadelphia.

LSA is proud to present this annual week alongside the Philadelphia Mayor’s Office of Immigrant and Multicultural Affairs (MOIMA), established in 2013 to ensure the well-being of immigrants and other diverse groups by providing access to city services, developing economic resources, promoting civic participation, and assisting with educational opportunities.

“We are excited to partner with LSA during the third edition of xCultural Passport Week, which provides an opportunity to raise awareness about the city’s growing immigrant community, and a space to celebrate the city’s diversity,” said Jennifer Rodriguez, Executive Director of MOIMA.
